Connecticut Speedskating Club  offers professional short track speedskating training to beginners through advanced speed skaters ages 5 and up. Short-track speedskating can be learned at any age, regardless of experience. Hockey, inline or figure skating experience is helpful but not required.

Where we skate: Sports Center of Connecticut, 784 River Road (Rt. 110), Shelton, CT

When we skate: Sunday Evenings. (Please check calendar for schedule before coming to skate)

Come & Try It with us in any of our ice sessions (see Calendar). The first trial session is on us!
Please email us via and let us know you are coming down preferably.  Bring a pair of skates (hockey or figure skates will do for starters), a helmet, neck guard, knee pads, gloves and long sleeve clothing. Elbow pads are recommended for beginners. Rental speed skates are available with advance notice.

Connecticut Speedskating Club is a member of the Middle Atlantic Skating Association (MASA), which supports and oversees speed skating activities in the tri-state area (Connecticut, South Eastern New York and Northern New Jersey) and US Speedskating – the governing body for speed skating in the U.S. 

CTSpeedskating Club is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and your personal and corporate donations may be tax-deductible; receipts will be provided.
